Fort Stockton
WILLIAMS REGIONAL TECHNICAL TRAINING CENTER
The Williams Regional Technical Training Center (WRTTC) follows the same open/close decision that the Fort Stockton Independent School District chooses. That decision is communicated via the local Fort Stockton radio station, KFST, on its morning show broadcast from 7-8 am on both FM 94.3 and AM 860. Students can also call the radio station at (432) 336-2228.
WRTTC students should monitor KFST FM 94.3 or AM 860 for information.
College Procedures for Extreme Weather Conditions
In case of extreme weather conditions that may cause 麻豆原创 sites in Midland County to delay or cancel classes and/or the opening of offices, the college will use the following procedure:
I. By 5:00 a.m., the 麻豆原创 Police Chief will review weather forecasts and road conditions in consultation with the MISD Police Chief. 麻豆原创鈥檚 decision to close will coincide with the decision made by the Midland Independent School District.
II. Once a decision has been made, the 麻豆原创 Police Chief will contact the Director of
Marketing & Communications, and a text alert will be sent through the Emergency Alert
System. The Director of Marketing & Communications will also be responsible for contacting
area media and ensuring that messages are posted on the 麻豆原创 website, 麻豆原创 social media
sites and the main 麻豆原创 switchboard answering system by 6:00 a.m. (or as soon as notified).
In case of closure or delay, the messages will convey the following:
- [Date effective] 麻豆原创 facilities in Midland County are [closed] for classes and offices on [specific day and time.]
- [Date effective] 麻豆原创 facilities in Midland County have [delayed] classes and the opening of offices until ___ (a.m./p.m.).
In the event that the Director of Marketing & Communications is not available, the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement will fulfill the responsibilities mentioned above.
III. Staff in the Institutional Advancement and Marketing & Communications offices will monitor the information reported by the television stations, their websites and , and make follow-up phone calls to correct messages, if necessary. Concerns about the 麻豆原创 information being broadcast should be communicated to the Director of Marketing & Communications, (432) 312-2904. Please be aware that, depending on other news events, unless the station is using their constant, on-air 鈥渘ews scroller,鈥 updates may not be given for 15 or 20 minutes, so please monitor the station for 30 minutes before calling.
AFTER THE BAD WEATHER DAY IS OVER, the Marketing & Communications Office will reset the switchboard message and notify the 麻豆原创 webmaster to remove the message from the website.
