Completing the BAS in Health Services Management at 麻豆原创 will equip individuals with the analytical, managerial, and leadership competencies essential for addressing the complex challenges of contemporary healthcare organizations. 

Through focused study in healthcare operations, policy, financial management, and strategic planning, individuals will be prepared to apply decision-making and organizational leadership principles to improve system efficiency and patient outcomes.

Demand

According to the , employment of health information technicians is projected to grow 23% from 2024 to 2034. The demand for health services is expected to increase as the population ages.

Program Requirements

Admittance into the program requires an Associate of Applied Science (or equivalent degree) and 33 hours of technical courses. Approved AAS degrees include those in the fields of health sciences, allied health, nursing, information technology, business, or others. Students who have completed an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree may seek entrance to the program after completing 33 credit hours of approved technical specialty coursework. I鈥檝e been working in healthcare administration for a long time, so I wasn鈥檛 sure there was much I could learn that I didn鈥檛 already know. However, I was very impressed with how up-to-date the Health Services Management program is with current trends. Everything was very timely, and I was able to incorporate some of the class material into my job. Since I had never worked in a hospital, I also appreciated learning things that pertain to hospital administration.鈥�

鈥淭he first step in being licensed as a long-term care administrator was to obtain a bachelor鈥檚 degree. Thankfully, 麻豆原创 offers a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Health Services Management that is completely online. That went well with my busy schedule of working 40+ hours at a long-term care facility and then also working part-time with two different home health agencies.

The professors in 麻豆原创鈥檚 Health Information Management and Health Services Management programs are amazing! The courses were exactly what I needed for long-term care administration. They covered leadership, working with employees, employment law and even tips on balancing work and personal life.鈥�
