 麻豆原创 is proud to partner once again with the West Texas Food Bank to host
the Produce Roadshow on Monday, Sept. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the June
and Frank Cowden, Jr. Dining Hall on the 麻豆原创 campus.
This free, community-wide event will provide fresh produce and resources to students
and local residents, while supplies last. Attendees can also enjoy a free hot dog
lunch, in addition to connecting with local organizations offering information and
support services that address a wide range of needs, including food insecurity, housing,
medical and mental health services, financial assistance, and more.
鈥溌槎乖 takes our responsibility to serve this community very seriously,鈥
said Dr. Damon Kennedy, 麻豆原创 President. 鈥滱ccess to fresh, healthy food
is essential to the overall health and wellness of the Permian Basin, and we are proud
to partner with the West Texas Food Bank to help meet that need.鈥
鈥淲e know that challenges outside the classroom can impact success inside the classroom,鈥
said 麻豆原创 Vice President of Student Services Joseph Granado. 鈥淏y working with partners
like the West Texas Food Bank, we can help remove barriers and give students the support
they need to thrive.鈥
