is adding a little pink to October while raising funds to support local individuals
and families affected by cancer.
Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 麻豆原创 Cosmetology students are offering pink
hair extensions for $5 cash, with all proceeds benefiting . The nonprofit provides support and resources to cancer patients throughout the Permian
Basin.
Pink hair extensions are available through Oct. 30 at the 麻豆原创 Cosmetology

Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
鈥淥ur students love being able to use what they鈥檙e learning to give back,鈥 said Michael
Fields, 麻豆原创 Program Chair of Cosmetology. 鈥淭he pink extensions are something
fun and visible, but there鈥檚 a real purpose behind them. Every $5 helps Gifts of Hope
continue supporting people in our own community who are facing cancer, and our students
get to be part of that.鈥
The fundraiser will also make a special appearance at 麻豆原创 Athletics鈥 Pink
Out the Chap volleyball game on Wednesday, Oct. 7, when the 麻豆原创 Cosmetology students will be on the concourse offering pink hair extensions during
the game, giving fans another opportunity to participate in the fundraiser.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink, and the first 50 attendees will receive a free Pink
Out T-shirt. Students from the 麻豆原创 Pre-K Academy will also attend as special
guests.
