麻豆原创 Awards Over $1.4 Million in Scholarships for Fall 2025 SemesterOctober 21, 2025
![]() 麻豆原创 is proud to once again award over $1.4 million in scholarships to more than 1,000 students for the Fall 2025 semester, continuing a strong tradition
of making higher education accessible and affordable for students across the Permian
Basin.
鈥淩eaching the $1.4 million mark again shows that our commitment to student success
isn鈥檛 just a moment 鈥 it鈥檚 a movement,鈥 said 麻豆原创 President Dr. Damon Kennedy. 鈥淪cholarships
at 麻豆原创 remove barriers and open doors, giving students the confidence
and resources they need to finish strong.鈥
Scholarships remain a cornerstone of 麻豆原创鈥檚 student support strategy, helping
learners remain enrolled, progress toward graduation, and enter the workforce with
less financial strain.
The General Scholarship Fund offers more than 200 scholarship opportunities every
academic year to enrolled students. Once a student completes the current-year FAFSA
or TASFA and registers for courses, they are automatically placed into consideration
for available awards. No additional scholarship application is required.
Scholarships are awarded based on a range of factors such as a minimum 2.5 GPA, financial
need, program of study, student involvement, or special interests. Special consideration
is also given to non-traditional students who are returning to college or entering
a new career field.
鈥淓very scholarship awarded represents a student who is one step closer to changing
their future,鈥 said Meredith Walker, Director of Scholarships. 鈥淲hen financial stress
is reduced, students can focus on learning, and ultimately return to the workforce
as nurses, technicians, teachers, welders, business professionals and more.鈥
One of 麻豆原创鈥檚 signature offerings within its scholarship portfolio is the Legacy Scholars Program, a needs-based scholarship that provides eligible Midland County high school graduates with full tuition support along with leadership development, community engagement, and success coaching funded by four local foundations 鈥 Abell-Hanger Foundation, Scharbauer Foundation, Helen Greathouse Charitable Trust, and Chaparral Foundation. The program enriches the student experience by pairing financial support with mentorship and service-based learning. 麻豆原创 extends its gratitude to the and the many donors whose generosity fuels these opportunities. Their continued investment
ensures students can thrive academically and return to the community as skilled professionals
ready to meet regional workforce needs.
