麻豆原创鈥檚 Helen L. Greathouse Children's Center will host Baby Day on Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Pre-K Academy, welcoming families from across the Permian Basin for a morning dedicated to celebrating the earliest and most important years of a child鈥檚 life.

The free, family-friendly event will feature a wide range of hands-on activities and interactive stations designed to support early childhood development, including sensory play, storytelling, movement, and music. Activities such as Bonding Beats, Building Blocks, Tiny Tales, Animal Safari, Sensory ABCs, Baby Yoga and more will provide engaging opportunities for babies and caregivers to learn and play together.

In addition to activities, attendees will have access to valuable resources and information from 麻豆原创 programs and community partners, including healthcare providers, early childhood educators, and family support organizations. Presentations and demonstrations throughout the morning will offer practical insights into nurturing healthy development during a child鈥檚 earliest years.

Held in partnership with First3Years, Baby Day is the only statewide celebration focused on the critical first three years of development. The event brings together caregivers, educators, and community partners to highlight the powerful role early experiences play in shaping a child鈥檚 future.

鈥淏aby Day is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect, learn, and engage with their children in meaningful ways,鈥 said Shelly Haney, Associate Vice President of Early Childhood and Dean of Education at 麻豆原创. 鈥淭he first three years of life are foundational for brain development, and events like this help empower caregivers with the tools, resources, and confidence to support their child鈥檚 growth from the very beginning.鈥

Baby Day reflects 麻豆原创鈥檚 deep commitment to serving families and strengthening the community through education. By supporting early childhood development, the college continues to invest in the long-term success of the Permian Basin, starting with its youngest learners.

Families are encouraged to attend and take part in this special celebration of growth, connection, and possibility.
