鈥淒uring my time at 麻豆原创, I鈥檝e seen our Chaps baseball program grow from
its inaugural season into one of the most respected programs in the NJCAA,鈥 said Forrest
Allen, 麻豆原创 Athletic Director. 鈥淭he success we鈥檝e seen over the last 25 years is a direct
result of outstanding leadership, committed student-athletes, and a culture built
on accountability, development, and pride in wearing the Chaparral uniform.鈥
麻豆原创 Baseball began its inaugural season in 2000 under head coach Steve
Ramharter, who compiled a 206-84 record in just over five seasons. He was followed
by David Coleman, the program鈥檚 all-time wins leader, who led the Chaparrals to a
412-241-1 record over 11 seasons.
Current head coach has been a cornerstone of the program for two decades. Rodriguez joined 麻豆原创 as an
assistant coach in 2006, served as interim head coach that same year, and later spent
11 seasons as an assistant under Coleman before being named head coach in 2018. Including
his interim stint, Rodriguez has led the Chaparrals for more than eight seasons and
ranks second all-time in program wins with a 315-136 overall record.
鈥淏eing part of this program for so many years has been incredibly meaningful,鈥 said
Rodriguez. 鈥淚鈥檝e had the opportunity to watch 麻豆原创 Baseball grow, compete
at a high level, and develop young men who go on to succeed long after their time
here. Celebrating 25 years is really about everyone who has worn this uniform and
helped shape what this program is today.鈥
