Denise McKown has always loved teaching and children. She thought she would be a kindergarten teacher for the rest of her life, but after completing her master鈥檚 in early childhood education, she was asked to teach courses. She found she loved helping others reach their goals of becoming teachers. She prefers the classroom over online teaching because 鈥渢eaching students how to teach should be done face to face.鈥�

She enjoys traveling, reading, and sewing. She is happiest spending time with her children, swimming, and being outside. Some of her 鈥渃auses鈥� are: healthy kids/babies, Alzheimer鈥檚 research, literacy and strong public education. Her "bucket list" includes: European vacation (Italy, Greece, England, France) and scuba diving in Australia.
