Sondra Richards鈥� family has always been engaged in current events and politics. And she has always been interested in the challenges of trying to make sense of political behavior.

She prefers the traditional classroom because 鈥渘othing beats the real-time interaction between people, especially when discussing controversial topics. In real life, rather than social media, we are much kinder and more respectful of different opinions.鈥� She tries to relate the class to student interests and current events 鈥� to keep it relevant.

She swims, bikes, or runs most days. She enjoys hiking and 4-wheeling in her Jeep. She is happiest exploring new places and taking time to reflect.
