English teachers have always been influential in Melissa Boyce鈥檚 life. When she was in the 8th grade, her AP English teacher let her act out her favorite scenes from what she read and wrote about in her book reports. She allowed her to take Grapes of Wrath and make it silly (as silly as the Dust Bowl can be). To keep her students interested, she tries to be enthusiastic and funny, deadpan funny, and sometimes cheesy funny.

She is mom to three small, energetic boys - a job she takes very seriously. Her favorite vacation spot is southern Spain. Someday, she hopes to complete the Badwater Ultramarathon.Instructor Vitae (pdf)
