Âé¶¹Ô´´ Transfer Fair
Our biggest transfer-centered event of the academic year! Each year, Âé¶¹Ô´´ hosts the Âé¶¹Ô´´ Transfer Fair, bringing together over 30 universities
and other collegiate partners. Meet representatives, explore programs, and get guidance
on transferring your credits to plan your next academic step.

Your Transfer Timeline
Planning ahead makes transferring easier. Follow this step-by-step timeline to stay on track from your first semester at Âé¶¹Ô´´ through enrollment at your transfer university.
Year 1: Start Thinking
Fall Semester (0 – 15 Credits)

- Identify your Major: This will affect what your time at Âé¶¹Ô´´ will look like class-wise.
- Target the Texas Core Curriculum (TCC): focus on getting Core Complete
- Ask about potential Transfer Guides with your pathways advisor. You can always check with your prospective school or visit the .
Spring Semester (16 – 30 Credits)

- Connect with University Transfer Recruiters:
- Stop by and chat with university reps on campus
- Look out for events at your prospective university (on-campus or virtual)
- Attend Âé¶¹Ô´´ Transfer Fair (February)

Year 2: Apply
Fall Semester (31 – 45 Credits)

- Apply early: Students applying in Texas will most likely apply via ApplyTexas or the Common App. Some universities, especially private institutions, may have their own application. Using ApplyTexas? Ask about university application sessions or Free Application Week here at Âé¶¹Ô´´.
- Essays: Check if your target universities require an essay. There are different common topics for transfer applicants. Draft these early so they can be polished well before the application window opens.
- Submit your transcript: Plan to send transcripts twice, first upon applying, and again after you complete your final semester.
- Submit FAFSA/TASFA Early: Submit your financial aid paperwork as close to October 1st as possible. You will also want to stay ahead on scholarship deadlines and familiarize yourself with different scholarship opportunities, including Âé¶¹Ô´´ transfer scholarships.
Spring Semester (46 – 60+ Credits)

- Confirm TSI Completion: Discuss this with your pathways advisor.
- Apply for the Associate Degree: File for graduation, if eligible.
Summer Before University Enrollment
